NILP® Profiles
How NILP® identity profiles work inside CR Talent.
What Is a NILP® Profile?
NILP® (Name, Image, Likeness, and Persona) is the registered identity framework inside CR Talent.
Every talent participant creates a NILP® profile that serves as the source of truth for every clearance decision in the system. When a campaign activates talent, the Talent Agent checks the NILP® profile to verify permissions before any asset moves to production.
NILP® is a registered trademark of Creation Rights.
What a NILP® Profile Captures
- Legal name and professional identity
- Likeness permissions (which formats are approved for use)
- Voice permissions (synthetic voice, narration, AI audio)
- Training permissions (whether content can be used for AI model training)
- Avatar and augmented likeness preferences
- Commercial terms and usage restrictions
Profile Snapshots
When talent is cleared for a campaign, CR Base stores an immutable snapshot of the NILP® profile at the time of clearance in the evidence vault. This means the exact permissions that were in effect at the time of approval are preserved, even if the talent later updates their profile.
Updating a NILP® Profile
Talent can update their NILP® profile at any time. Updated preferences apply to future campaigns. They do not retroactively change the terms of campaigns already cleared. Active campaigns continue under the permissions captured in the clearance snapshot.
