Clearance Flow

How talent clearance works across all content formats.

The Four Steps

CR Talent uses a single clearance flow for all content formats. Whether the output is live action, AI generated, augmented, avatar-based, or voice, the same clearance process applies.

1. Verify

The system checks the talent's NILP® profile for permissions, restrictions, and commercial terms before production begins. The Talent Agent runs this check automatically when talent is assigned to a campaign.

If the NILP® profile does not permit the requested usage format, the clearance is blocked and the relevant stakeholders are notified.

2. Approve

Approvals route across talent, management, legal, brand, and operational stakeholders. Each approver sees only what they need to sign off on. Approval chains are configurable per campaign and per talent type.

3. Activate

Cleared talent is activated inside the campaign. Usage is tracked from the moment content enters production. Every asset that includes the talent carries their NILP® reference in its metadata.

4. Pay

Compensation, participation terms, royalties, or ongoing commercial use are tied to the payout workflow. Every payment connects back to the campaign and the clearance record.

Supported Formats

The same clearance flow covers:

  • Live action (filmed content with real talent)
  • AI generated (content produced by AI models using talent likeness or voice)
  • Augmented (real content with AI-enhanced or modified elements)
  • Avatar based (digital personas representing real talent)
  • Voice (narration, synthetic voice, AI audio)
